The Petersburg Generals Baseball Academy is not currently in operation.
Check back soon for updates. The Petersburg Generals Baseball Academy (PBGA) has been developed to promote the baseball skills for youth’s ages 7 and up. These skills include hitting, pitching, catching, outfield and infield defense and overall knowledge of the game. Instructors in the Academy consist of former college athletes and/or coaches including instructors with professional baseball backgrounds. The PGBA uses the Petersburg Sports Complex stadium field as its home field and supplements that with two batting cages, one of which is indoors. Now players of all ages can get year round training regardless of weather conditions. The indoor arena features a turf field with a retractable net and areas indoors for both pitching and fielding. The Jr. Generals 10U team were Runner-Up in the Baseball Brawl tournament held at the Virginia Sports Complex. The Jr. Gen's went 3-1 over the weekend.
This weekend, the team travels to Concord, NC to participate in the Top Gun Winter World Series. This event will conclude the 2009 Fall Season.

The Petersburg Jr. Generals youth programs are looking to expand. If you are the coach of an existing Travel Baseball team and are interested in becoming a part of the Jr. Generals program, contact Robin Green. We offer top-notch facilities, equipment discounts and the opportunity to have a unique partnership with the Petersburg Generals. We currently are competing in the 10U division and are looking to add other age group teams.
